Hi, I’m Beth. I am a mother of 2 girls and a mother of 4 fur babies. We moved here, to Dunvant, in the summer of 2017 to enable us to enjoy our love of outdoors on beautiful Gower and I took the plunge in 2019 to start up my own dog walking business combining my love of dogs with my love of the great outdoors and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done!

I run Coastal Trails and Waggy Tails, a superior dog walking service that enables you to leave the house and your beloved pooch behind for the day without that feeling of guilt!

My dog adventure service ensures that your lovely pet is well exercised and totally content for the afternoon while they await your return. We’ve all been there; you’ve got a busy day ahead, it’s early in the morning, you’ve raced around trying to get organised and you’ve only had 15 minutes to get your dog out! It’s time to leave and you wont be back until well after 5pm (if you’re lucky), you have to leave your lovely, faithful pooch at home for the day. They look at you with those sad, knowing eyes and your heart sinks. You leave for work feeling awful and you know that you will likely return to chewed furniture, spilt bins or worse!

Having a dog is wonderful and, in my opinion a house isn’t a home without one, but they are a worry and a tie. Coastal Trails and Waggy Tails can help you to have your beautiful dog without the worry and the guilt!

I was 18 when I first started working with dogs, as head kennel staff at Keepers Cottage Boarding Kennels – a local boarding kennel and rescue centre near where I lived. At the age of 18 I had rescued, retrained and rehomed one of the little dogs that had been brought in – a lovely male, liver and white spaniel that had come to the end of his 7 day stay at the rescue centre. At 19 I got my first dog of my very own. A gorgeous little terrier cross pup who had been abandoned at a local waste ground. He was a typical balshy, feisty little terrier and we had lots of teething troubles in the early days. It took lots of patience, commitment, some trial and error and finally the realisation that looonnng country walks and consistency were key for this chap, all of which led to a fantastic, well behaved totally awesome little dude!

I have had, fostered, retrained and rehomed lots of dogs since then including a terrier, cocker spaniels, mongrels, lurchers, king Charles cavaliers and now a beautiful Welsh bob-tailed collie pup, and found that a happy contented dog is one that has had lots of lovely long walks in a variety of places so they have different sights and smells and lots of stimulation, such as chase games, ball games and running.

A happy dog means a happy owner!
