Premium Doggie Adventure

This is a long trail walk adventure first thing in the morning until lunchtime. Your dog is either collected from your home at around 9 am or you’re welcome to drop them to my house before you head off to work.

We regularly cover between 6 and 8 miles (depending on how steep the sand dunes are or how heavy the rain is!!) before they are returned to your home having had a drink and a snack (and usually a towel down due to our rather wet and soggy weather).

We try to vary the walks as much as possible to ensure no one ever gets bored! This option is for those pooches that have boundless energy – it’s certainly no walk in the park!

Cost per Adventure -
£20 per dog

*Dependent on crate and safety availability due to size of dog

Standard Dog Walk

This is an hour’s walk in our local area.

It will include pick up and drop off from and to your home.

The standard dog walk takes place after lunch Monday to Thursday.

We try to vary the walk as much as possible and go to a variety of places in and around Killay.

Cost per walk - £15.00

Doggie Day Care

We are fully licensed to board dogs through Swansea County Council.

One of the family

This is your dog cared for in our family home. They are treated like one of the family and will come on all of my adventures and walks for the day – no dog is ever left behind!

For this service you can drop your dog with us before you head off to work and not have to give them a second thought until you collect them at the end of the day.

NB: all dogs must be collected by 5.30pm or additional charges may apply.

Daycare is offered to dogs that will also be boarding with us in order for the dog to settle into our home quickly during their stay.

Doggie Day Care per day -
£25 per dog

*Dependent on crate and safety availability due to size of dog

Puppy Daycare and Training Days

Happy, socialised puppy

Your puppy will be fully cared for whilst with me for the day and will learn how to socialise and behave whilst having fun and company at all times.

Puppy Daycare & training per day -
£35.00

Home Boarding

We are fully licensed to board dogs through Swansea County Council.

A Home From Home for Your Dog

If you have a holiday planned and can’t bear the thought of leaving your beloved dog in a Kennels, then home boarding is the perfect solution. You can leave your dog with us and they will literally become part of the family for the duration of their stay. They will come on all dog walks, evening trips to the beach with our family and family walks and days out. Having two dog-loving little girls comes in very handy if you have a dog who loves to play ball in the garden!

NB: Unfortunately we do not allow dogs upstairs to sleep on our beds – our own dogs are not allowed so it would be very unfair to allow others.

Home boarding per night -
For one dog - £30.00
For two dogs - £55.00
For three dogs - £80.00

Please note: an additional daycare charge is added to the first day of your dogs stay and last day if you are picking up after 8.30am

Walks & Adventure Walks FAQ

Most frequently asked questions and answers

I will book an appointment with you to come to your house to meet you and your dog(s). During the meet and greet we will fill in the necessary paperwork.

Once this is done we will arrange aninitial settling in walk with your dog so that he/she becomes familiar with me and my own dog Lollie the Collie (I have three other dogs but unfortunately they are too old and quite frankly too lazy to join us on our Adventures) before he/she joins us on a regular basis.

With a standard hour’s dog walk, your dog will be picked up and walked somewhere all within an hour. With our adventure trail walks, your dog is picked up first thing in the morning and then we head out to our local countryside beauty spots and walk for the duration of the morning. We can walk anything between 5 miles and 8 miles depending on where we are walking (sandy hills can be tough)!

Your dog will be safely crated or harnessed in the back of our family van.

I start my pick ups at 8.30am, I endeavour to get to all the dogs between 8.30 and 9am.

Our walk usually takes around 3 hours but some days it will be longer.

I always carry treats and biscuits and we have regular water stops in streams and rivers. I always carry a pop up bowl and fresh water and have a fresh supply in my van for the end of our Adventure.

Yes, please leave a towel out for your dog and I will ensure that they are towelled down before they are returned.

I only walk dogs that get along with other dogs. Your dog will have an initial settling in walk which will usually be with my own dog and maybe one other to ensure that they get used to me and my calls/commands.

Generally speaking dogs like to stay in their “pack” so this isn’t usually a problem, however I cannot guarantee that your dog wont take a fancy to a sound or a smell while they are out with us.

Un-neutered males have a tendency to run off if they smell a bitch in season and some dogs can get frightened at certain sounds.

Please ensure that you tell us of any trigger sights or sounds that your dog may have that would result in them running off or chasing something.

I would encourage that all dogs have a dog tag with your name and number on it (required by law) as this will make returning lost dogs easier.

If your dog is staying with us for a holiday, I will put one of my own Coastal Trails and Waggy Tails tags on them in addition to yours for the duration oftheir stay.

I’m sorry but I can no longer accept unneutered male dogs for our adventure walks.

Dog Boarding FAQ

Most frequently asked questions and answers

I will make an appointment with you for you and your dog to come to my home to see where we live and to meet my family and dogs.

This gives you the opportunity to see whether you would like your dog to stay with us.

During the meet and greet you will fill in the necessary paperwork.

I insist that every dog that stays with us comes to me for a few Trail Walks (if they are fit and able) or Doggie Day Care sessions and at least one overnight stay. This ensures that your dog settles into their new surroundings with as little disruption to them as possible.

If you decide to go ahead and book your dog in with us, I require a 25% deposit to secure their place.

No we are not a boarding kennels.

Your dog will eat, sleep and stay in our family home with us and our own dogs.

The idea of the initial meet and greet and settling in walks and overnight stay will establish whether your dog will enjoy their stay with us.

My dogs are used to lots of people and other dogs coming and going from our house and after the initial noise when people arrive, they are quite happy to return to their beds (my old dogs) or play with their ball (my young collie). If there is any problem at all I will inform you immediately and we can decide from there the best course of action.

Unfortunately as I have a young family, I will be unable to accept into my home, any dog that is aggressive or has behavioural problems.

Your dog will sleep in our living room with our own dogs, I have 4 so they will have lots of doggiecompany! I know some people allow their dogs to go/sleep upstairs but this is not allowed in our home, 4 dogs on a bed would result in very little sleep for us!

No your dog will spend all of their time with us – long walks, lots of cuddles and affection, days and evenings at the beach or exploring our beautiful countryside. The only time your dog may be left is if I need to go out for groceries, but they will not be left for more than a couple of hours

I ask that you bring your dogs food and blanket/bed, if your dog has any medication they need to take and the instructions for administering and if you have any specific treats you feed your dog, please also bring these.

I will need to see a copy of your dogs up to date vaccination certificate and kennel cough certificate on or before your dogs holiday.

I’m afraid I cannot allow any dogs to stay if their vaccinations are overdue.

If your dog is joining us for our Adventure Walks, Daycare or Puppy Daycare I will invoice you at the end of each week. Please can I ask that you pay either by bank transfer or cash by the end of the week.

If your dog is staying with us for a holiday, please pay by cash or bank transfer either on the day of drop off or the day of pick up. I will give you the invoice before your dogs holiday with us.

Please drop your dog to us before 8.30am on the day you intend to leave, I leave my house at 8.30am every morning during the week to begin picking up my Adventure Trail dogs. This ensures that your dog has a full day with us to settle in and is not anxious on their first evening staying with us.

Please can you ensure that you collect your dog before 8.30am or between 2pm and 6pm (picking up after 2pm will incur an additional Daycare charge of £2).

I don’t usually pick up or drop off boarding dogs. If for some reason you need me to do this, there will be an additional charge depending on distance and time of day, please ask for a quote.

Yes I will send you photographs via Whatsapp or Messenger throughout their holiday. I also post our Adventures on my social media sites on a regular basis. I take a LOT of photos and there is nothing I love more than sharing with you the fun that they are having with us!

Unfortunately I do not accept un-neutered male dogs for boarding.

I can only accept un-spayed females if they aren’t in season during their holiday with us.
